History

1998, the late Glen Borden, the President of Ho'olehua Homestead Assocation, formed Ahupua'a o Moloka'i to unite the Moloka'i homestead assocations.

In 2002, the IRS recognized the Ahupua'a o Moloka'i as a 501c(3) non-profit organization for the Moloka'i Hawaiian Homestead Assocations.  Since then we have been fortunate to become recipients of grant funds from Department of Hawaiian Home Lands and Bank of Hawai'i.  Some of our grant funds are earmarked for the Ahupua'a Hale and projects that enhance each homestead community.
